Dr. Ahmed is a Houston native and grew up in League City. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with honors before moving on to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She stayed in the area to complete her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. She was then thrilled to return home to League City to begin her practice.
She is very passionate about women’s health care and preventive medicine. She most enjoys getting to know her patients and working with each woman individually to tailor the best care plan or treatment. She invites questions and enjoys discussing options for treatment to make sure you feel informed and engaged in your own care. She is respectful of her patient’s distinctive concerns and is adept at dealing with the vast array of medical issues that comprise women’s health across all ages. Her training in obstetrics includes both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, operative deliveries, ultrasound, and management of the high risk pregnancy. She is passionate about breastfeeding and took part in her hospital’s Baby-Friendly designation during residency. She strives to ensure that each woman’s pregnancy and childbirth is joyful and also as safe as possible. Her training in gynecology includes both traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques, as well as non-surgical approaches to common gynecologic issues. She believes that it is truly a privilege to care for her patients.
Dr. Ahmed comes from a big family and loves spending time with them. She is married to her wonderful husband Zafir, and together they love to travel and try new things. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with friends.

Haley Oberst is a certified physician assistant who grew up in the Houston area. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education. She worked in the emergency room at Houston Northwest Medical Center before desiring to pursue a career as a physician assistant. Haley graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, Florida where she completed a portion of her training at the Center for Advanced GYN and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. She also completed additional training assisting with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries at Florida Hospital.
Upon graduation, Haley returned to Houston where she joined the growing practice of Maximos OB/GYN. She is passionate about working in women’s health care and enjoys spending quality time with her patients. She is a member of the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology and uses the most current standards of care for all of her patients.
Haley loves spending time with her family and friends. She also likes reading, trying new restaurants around Houston, and traveling. Last year, she participated in a medical mission trip where she treated patients in the surrounding villages of San Cristobal, Guatemala. She looks forward to continuing medical missionary work in the future, along with providing care to the community of League City.
Dr. Maximos is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who moved out to League City in 2007 where he had been in private practice for 10 years. He graduated from La Sierra University in Riverside, California. He then completed medical school at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada. His OB/GYN training was done at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Jersey and then began his career in private practice in League City. He built a large, respected and successful practice and is loved by his patients.
Dr. Maximos has a tremendous passion for obstetrics. He specializes in low and high risk obstetrics. He has extensive experience in all types of pregnancy issues. For example: hypertensive disorders, diabetes, preterm labor and multiple gestation. He is also very skilled in operative deliveries and cesarean sections. Gynecologically he loves spending time talking with his patients about preventive care. He is very thorough when following his patients with their routine gynecologic care. He spends equal time with all his patients whether adolescent, reproductive age or menopausal. Dr. Maximos is very competent in a multitude of surgical procedures. He enjoys laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, vaginal and abdominal procedures. He spends plenty of time discussing all the options with each patient in order to readily prepare them for their procedure.
Dr. Maximos is truly a physician with a passion for caring and treating women. He Held different reputable positions among them the current Medical Director at Bay Area Regional Medical Center and Chief of the Surgery Department 2017-Present, Chief of the OB/GYN department at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster from 2015-2018 and Chief of the OB/GYN Department at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston in 2014.
Dr. Maximos has a wonderful family. He has been married to his wife Dina for 12 years and they have two wonderful children: Gabrielle, 10; and Jonathan, 8 Dr. Maximos enjoys spending as much time with them as possible playing sports, riding bicycles or helping them with homework.
